"Trimini" Sandal Do-It-Yourself Kit
These minimalist sandals are made for optimum stability, durability, and lightness.
They are easy to make from an outline of your feet to ensure that they will be perfectly adapted to your foot shape and size. Suggestive patterns are included, but standard pattern sizes are not included (yet).
The tutorial will demonstrate how to make them from A to Z including drawing a personalized pattern, cutting the leather, and going over basic leather work techniques to make them look professionally finished.
The kit includes (depending on the options):
- A large piece of vegetable-tanned leather in 8-9 Oz thickness / 3-3.5 mm thick
- A large piece of rubber sheet of 3 mm in thickness
- 4 meters of Paracord lace
- A belt punch to make holes
- A scalpel to cut the leather
- A pair of heavy-duty scissors to cut the rubber
- An awl to draw and scratch the leather
- An edge beveler, to cut down the corner on the edge
- A piece of sandpaper grade 600 and 800, to polish the leather and to sharpen the scalpel
- A piece of linen cloth, to polish the edge
- A small piece of beeswax to polish and seal the edge of the leather
We aimed to put together a kit with everything you would really need to make these leather sandals at home, with simple tools.
With the full tool set, even beginners will be able to make very well-finished sandals in 2.5 to 4 hours.
We have selected high-quality leather, rubber, and laces to make sure the sandals would endure intensive wear and require very little treatment of the leather.

These minimalist sandals are made for optimum stability, durability, and lightness.
Their design has been refined to be as stable as possible and minimize the pressure and rubbing that could be caused by the laces. When well-adjusted, the laces won’t need to be touched up anymore, and it will become easy to slip them on instantly.
To improve their comfort, the shape of the sole has a few main features:
- The heel tab that comes up until the ankle, offering an excellent hold by preventing the foot to sliding backward…
- The extension of the sole on the inner side of the foot to completely cover and protect the most vulnerable part of our feet: the arch.
- Their zero-drop / flat sole doesn't affect your natural posture.
We have selected the most high-quality materials and leather to endure intensive use and wear.
The vegetable-tanned leather we use was nourished and dyed in the mass to be especially water and wear-resistant. In fact, it will require very little care.
They can be made with or without a rubber sole. Of course, the rubber sole increases their durability, their resistance to water and offers a better grip on smooth surfaces.
